About Emma
Emma is a mum, sister, daughter, and psychologist.
Emma has a passion for working collaboratively with individuals and couples to support and empower them. She highlights strengths, and bases her work on empathy and acceptance. She works to support individuals and couples to enhance their sense of wellbeing.
Emma teaches university students, she also works in research and development of psycho-educational programs both privately and for universities. She has worked as a psychologist in private practice, educational settings, and in prisons.
Emma's research has focused on developing effective intervention for partners who are physically separated for work, complex grief, and psychophysiological impacts of concussion.
Emma tailors her therapeutic approach to each client using evidence-based therapies including ACT, CBT, DBT, Schema Therapy, Gottman Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
PRESENTING CONCERNS
Emma works with many presenting issues including anxiety, depression, parenting, and relationship issues and her work primarily includes adults and couples.
